This new role offers an exciting opportunity to bring fresh ideas and a strategic perspective to our fundraising initiatives. You’ll lead and motivate a talented team, ensure accountability, build strong relationships, and oversee an interesting & diverse portfolio that includes bequests, legacy giving, major donor programs, grants, and digital campaigns. Applying best practices including transparent reporting, and leveraging data and industry evidence, you’ll inform fundraising strategies and optimize donor engagement and retention.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- Proven track record of success in a senior fundraising role, ideally CFRE-certified.
- Proven experience in a senior fundraising role with a strong track record of achieving revenue growth.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data for informed decision-making.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Leadership experience with a focus on empowering and inspiring teams.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and data-driven fundraising tools.

Since 1981, Tōtara Hospice has been a cornerstone of specialist palliative care for South and South-East Auckland, serving one of New Zealand's most diverse communities. Each year, we provide holistic, multidisciplinary care to over 1,100 patients and their whānau, offering services that include inpatient care, community-based support, and a 24-hour advice line—all free of charge. Our care focuses on ensuring dignity, comfort, and compassion for those with life-limiting illnesses. We do this with the support of our generous community.
