Job Description

Te Mahi/The Role…

Our nursing team, in collaboration with the wider MDT, deliver exceptional palliative care services to our patients and whānau throughout the communities of South and Southeast Auckland. We offer specialised palliative care both onsite at Tōtara Hub (Inpatient unit, Outpatient clinics, Te Puna ora o Tōtara) and in the community. 

Tōtara Hospice adopts a holistic assessment and care planning program that is underpinned by a Te Whare Tapa Whā framework where the team collaborates in partnership with the patient and whānau. This wrap-around care ensures patients live their last years of life well and enables you to find joy in your work.

 Ngā pūkenga e hiahiatia/What we would like to see from you…

  • A current New Zealand Enrolled Nurse Practicing Certificate
  • Must be able to commit to a rotating 24/7 roster
  • Must be flexible working between IPU and within the community
  • Full, clean NZ Driver’s Licence
  • Palliative care/chronic long-term conditions experience is desired but not essential as we have a supportive senior nursing team, including 2 dedicated Clinical Nurse Educators, to guide you through your orientation and learning periods
  • Full New Zealand working rights
