Imagine starting your day surrounded by Tōtara trees, peaceful gardens, and a calming, quiet atmosphere. At Tōtara Hospice, you’ll join a warm community with an onsite café, a boutique store, and an award-winning workplace culture – named South & Southeast Auckland Employer of the Year 2024.

We are the leading provider of specialist palliative care in South and Southeast Auckland, and we are seeking a skilled and experienced Physiotherapist at an intermediate or senior level to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an opportunity to hit the ground running by applying your clinical expertise in a role where your work truly makes a difference, and to deliver our vision: making the world a better place for dying people. If you believe comfort, dignity, and quality of life matter — especially at the end of life — this role could be for you.

  • Providing physiotherapy support in our Inpatient Unit, Te Puna Ora o Tōtara (Living Well Centre), and in patients’ homes
  • Supporting physical function, symptom management, and mobility as needs change
  • Working in partnership with whānau to support care goals
  • Building strong relationships with community providers
  • Supporting moving and handling competence for clinical and non-clinical staff

This is meaningful work that calls for skill, empathy, and presence.
